Thank you, God, for running water!

I am happy to report we have running water again. The good news is we (mostly David) got out in the yard yesterday and made a little progress on our overwhelming outdoors project of taming the growth on our land. The bad news is our water line got a hole in the process. At least it was just one hole, in just one place. Well, because of difficulties with the water line, it took David three attempts to fix the hole, so we were without water from early yesterday afternoon until we got home from church tonight. The kids had already had baths, and I had done some laundry Saturday morning (before the hole happened), so David and I took turns going down the road to David's parents' house to take our showers last night after the kids were in bed. Today after lunch with my parents, David and I went to the hardware store to get more PVC fittings and sealant and then out to the house for David to fix the line; but it worked! We didn't know for sure it would until we let it sit, while we went back to Monroe for church tonight, but when we got home and he checked it, he said it's fine. I was so happy to wash a few dishes! It is amazing how we take the little things for granted. People were without running water and electricity for so long, and yet we don't know how to make it without them. Well, thank you, God! I really, really like my running water.
