Thursday -- First Classes at Tech
David said he had a good first day. He didn't tell me much; he did tell me something about hand washing and vital signs. He has check-offs for both of those which are already scheduled (but he either didn't tell me for when or I don't remember). He said one class is both lecture and lab and the other class is lecture only. He'll have to be at Tech every morning (M-F) at 8:00; he finishes at 11:00MWF but not until 2:00 or 2:30 on TR.
Yesterday he was able to meet me at the Activity Center at 4:00 and we played racquetball and then did 4 laps around the inside track. That was fun. So I didn't go to the group class, but that's okay -- I'll do that some other time when David can't go with me.
I got to stay with Joshua at IMOT for a little while this morning to check in with Karl on how things were going. His first week seems to have gone well. The main thing Karl told me about was how he's doing electric stimulation of his pecs and biceps to try to help him with his arm movements. They'll do an evaluation at the end of the three weeks to measure his progress from IMOT.
I'll talk to David soon and see how his day went.
