Back to School! And birthdays!! Etc. ...
Is it already time to go back to school? Where did the summer go? Jayden started back August 1 (her center closes in July); I started back yesterday (but classes don't begin until next Monday). Joshua starts on Monday; he'll be in kindergarten and at a new school with a new teacher. He'll be at the same school as David's mom, so that's really nice. It's a new class this year -- how's that for a God thing? David and Joshua get to meet the teacher on Thursday. Nana has already met her and approves. ;-) David actually starts back on Monday, too; he'll be taking Biology at ULM and his first nursing clinicals at Tech. The schedule worked better for us than taking all 9 hours at Tech. Mom says we may be getting a double-hit on tuition, but some things are worth paying for. I think it's going to work out fine.
I've been working on my intro class tonight (sophomore level). I'm excited about it, looking forward to a new start.
Today I had meetings all day. But at least that included a lunch meeting with a very nice lunch. That's a good treat!
Pray for my grandmother; she had colon surgery today. I know she is in a lot of pain, and please pray especially for the Lord's peace. She has never had surgery before, so she's a little apprehensive. We'll try to go down this weekend to check on her.
Oh yeah, birthdays. Jayden turns 2 on Friday! She's doing so well and is so much fun. I think I've accepted now that she really is 2 (well, almost!). And Joshua will be 5 next week -- wow! I've told myself this enough I think it's sunk in. Or maybe I'm just too tired to think about it tonight.
I'll try to remember to write again soon.
