Monday
Even though I didn't get as much sleep last night as I'd hoped, I still managed to get up okay this morning and start my day well. I could tell I was a little sleepy this morning, and I've had the munchies pretty bad; I've picked up on a pattern there when I haven't had enough sleep.
David got up at 4:15 to have some more good, quiet, last-minute study time this morning for his two big biology exams today. I think 4:15; maybe 4:45. Early, regardless. I joined him at 5:30. I did get to run for about 15 minutes, and enjoyed that. I was proud of myself, too. Then I read a chapter in Mark (Jesus teaching the disciples), ate breakfast (oatmeal with bananas and a slice of sourdough w/ peanut butter, and a prune), and got ready for school. Got the kids ready (except David fed Joshua, a big help), and made good time getting us all to school this morning.
Had a pretty quiet day at school today. Got my test for tonight and my test for tomorrow finished. I still have to prepare the exam I give Thursday. I have a week of grading ahead of me.
Got to go home for a few minutes this afternoon, and enjoyed that. Got our electric bill in -- once again higher than expected. =-( But it's okay. I guess rates are going up. And some good news in the mail today: David received his certification letter from Cooper Institute. He has successfully completed their course on Providing Dietary Guidance. Very neat! I am proud of him.
Speaking of, he had his two big biology tests today, one in class and one in lab. He feels good about the test in lecture and "okay" about the practical in lab. I told him he worked hard and did his best, and to be proud. Besides, it may be designed so that you're not supposed to know all the answers. We'll see how the two turn out. On his first test in class, he made the second highest grade in the class. This was his first practical, so he doesn't really know what to expect.
I think these may have been his only tests this week. So maybe the rest of his week will be pretty easy for him.
